Welcome River Hills Village is a continuing care retirement community designed to meet the changing housing, personal care and health needs of seniors.  River Hills Village includes a twenty four hour Nursing Care Facility, a 20 bed Alzheimer’s Unit, an Assisted Living Residence featuring five styles of apartments, plus 16 spacious, attractive, townhouse style cottages for Independent Living.

River Hills Village, 20 Village Circle, is located within a nature filled 100 acre setting on the northern edge of Keokuk, Iowa. The Continuing Care Retirement Community is owned and operated by Mr. Tom Kenny, who has a longstanding reputation for delivering excellent care to seniors in the Southeast Iowa area. Mr. Kenny owned River Hills in Keokuk, 3140 Plank Road, which served the community for more than 20 years prior to the opening of River Hills Village in 1999.  We are the only facility in Lee County licensed by the State of Iowa for both Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living programs.  We offer a transportation program with a 20 passenger bus, a chapel for interfaith religious services, a beauty/barber shop, a stocked pond with well groom walkways, a therapeutic exercise room and a host of spacious common areas. 

Our facility has earned a best practice award in the category of "Quality of Life" from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.  We not only offer community outings, we bring the community to the village.  Our volunteers, who provide social involvement and lively entertainment, are an integral part of the total health of our residents.  At the same time, River Hills Village also contributes to the health and well being of the community.  We sponsor countless community events and causes – Southeast Iowa Blood Drives, the DARE program, the Keokuk Police Department Fishing Derby, the Keokuk Little League program – just to name a few, along with employee participation on numerous community boards and committees.
